Mud Cloth throw blanket made from a wonderful African mudcloth fabric called Bogolan (also said Bogolanfini) handmade in Mali.

The word Bogolan means made of mud and in fact the decoration on the fabric is obtained by using the mud fermented through a long and complex procedure dating from the twelfth century.

This African mudcloth fabric is 100% cotton, first hand spun and then woven by hand usually by men, finally decorated by women with a large variety of symbolic patterns. The back of the mud cloth throw blanket is lined with cotton fabric. Cold wash.

Unique piece.
