Berber rug Azilal hand-knotted by the Berber populations of the High Atlas in Morocco, with warm and thick wool on a cotton warp, depicting symbolic decorative motifs typical of the Berber tradition, such as the rhombus motif, symbol of the woman, which combined with the motif of the serpent, indicates the union of opposites.

Berber rugs Azilal, like the Beni Ourain rugs, are also knotted by hand in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, but unlike the Beni Ourain carpets, which are made of pure wool, these carpets combine wool with cotton and sometimes other fibers. For the designs, in addition to black and brown, many other colors are used and their dimensions are usually smaller than those of Beni Ourain rugs.

Unique piece.

Our rugs are all authentic Berber carpets: they are not “Berber style” and they are not made in Pakistan or India, but they are all hand woven by the Berber people of Morocco. If you are not satisfied with imitations and you love the unique beauty of authentic products, we are the shop for you!
